Flea Shampoo for a Safe Dog Bath

Dog Shampoo

Flea shampoo for dogs safely repels insects

Dogs are man’s best friend, and we think you should treat them like that. For their next flea bath, wash your dog using our natural dog shampoo. It will not only show how much you care about your pet, but will help with dry, itchy skin and lackluster fur associated with chemically altered tick and flea shampoos. Our blends are natural pest deterrents. Using essential oils such as Cedarwood, Rosemary, Citronella, and Lavender offers a more healthy way to remove fleas from our best friends and keep their furry tails wagging.

This wonderful herbal pet shampoo will keep your dog's coat clean, healthy and fresh smelling. It will also naturally repel fleas and ticks on your canine companion. Beach Organics has formulated a safe shampoo that can be used for your pet's weekly flea bath. It's gentle enough to use for a daily dog bath, too, and safe for canines of any age or breed including hounds, retrievers, terriers, other purebreds, and all mixed breeds. Fetch some today!

This blend of real essential oils naturally repels fleas, ticks, and certain other pesky skin parasites that may lurk on your animal's skin. Use our companion product, Fur Fresh, to maintain the flea repellent action between each flea bath. Please note this herbal shampoo is for use on dogs and puppies only, as some essential oils are unhealthy for cats.

How to shampoo your dog for an effective flea bath

Washing techniques are just as important as the products used on your dog. When you begin to wet your pet down for their flea bath, the insects will run for higher ground (the head and muzzle). The best way to discourage this is to put a small ring of dog shampoo on the dry fur around the neck and collar area and as close to the underside of your dog's mouth as possible.

You should not wet the top of the dog's head or their muzzle first. Using your hands to bring in water, you can start the lather high on the neck to build a barrier for the fleas. Then continue with regular washing, wetting the fur and lathering down toward the paws and tail. Keep coming back to the barrier as you shampoo your dog, since this is where the fleas will migrate.
